Dathan Ritzenhein had a superb end to 2012: he placed ninth with a two minute, five second PB at the Bank of America Chicago marathon. Dathan ran 2:07.47, running a very calculated race, showing him and his coach, Alberto Salazar, that the marathon is a place for Ritz to put some focus.
Ritzenhein has been running fast since he was a sophomore in high school. His college years, spent at the University of Colorado were challenged by injuries.
