Gotcher, De Reuck win USA 20 km titles

from USATF -NEW HAVEN - Bret Gotcher (Flagstaff, Ariz.), was top man in a three-way battle for the men's title Monday at the USA 20 km Championships in New Haven, Conn., as Colleen De Reuck (Boulder, Colo.), took control before halfway to win the women's crown. Gotcher was timed in 58:57, while De Reuck ran1:07:21. At 45, De Reuck is the oldest woman to win a major U.S. championship.

Melbourne, Fla. – Adding to the allure of the State Farm Melbourne & Beaches Music Marathon weekend set for next February, the USA Track & Field Association’s Florida chapter has announced that its 2010 state championship 8-k, ½ Marathon and Marathon championship races will be held in Melbourne in conjunction with the weekend-long runfest.

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Sept. 2, 2009 - Three Team USA Minnesota distance runners - Patrick Smyth, Jason Lehmkuhle and Kristen Nicolini Lehmkuhle - will be among the competitors at the USA 20k Championships on Sept. 7 in New Haven, Conn.  The championship race is held in conjunction with the 32nd annual Stratton Faxon New Haven 20k Road Race and begins at 8:40 a.m. (Eastern) on Labor Day.
