At the California meet held at Occidental College, Anderson will run the 1500 meters and Cheever is entered in the steeplechase. Anderson has a best in the 1500 of 4:06.77 and Cheever has posted 10:02.16 in the steeplechase. The steeple will be the first event of the evening starting at 6:15 p.m. (Pacific time) and the women’s 1500 meter heats will begin at 8:05 p.m.
On the East Coast, Peyton will run the 10,000 meters at the Boston Twilight meet, which will be held at the track facility at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She has a best in the distance of 32:59.11. The meet begins at 6 p.m. (Eastern time).
Anderson has an “A” qualifier in the 1500 meters for the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, which will be held in Eugene June 22-July 1, while Cheever and Peyton currently have “B” qualifiers in their events.
