Minneapolis/St. Paul – Nov. 12, 2015 – Team USA Minnesota’s Meghan Peyton will be among the elite competitors who have qualified to run in the .US National 12k Championships in Alexandria, Virginia, on Nov. 15. During the 2015 year, Peyton finished eighth at the USA Marathon Championships and seventh at the USA 1 Mile Championships to achieve her qualifier.
Peyton ran in the inaugural .US National 12k Championships three years ago and finished ninth in 40:31. The 12k is the final race of the year-long USATF Running Circuit.
The elite women begin at 7:45 a.m. with the elite men, masters and open field starting at 7:55 a.m. (both times Eastern). The race will be broadcast live via www.usatf.tv.
Next up for Peyton following the 12k Championships will be the Manchester Road Race in Connecticut on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26.
