Simbassa has a best in the distance of 13:54, while Peyton has posted 15:41 in the 5000m and Moen has a best of 15:52. The three athletes are officially opening their 2016 outdoor track season at Mt. SAC.
In Boston, the women’s invitational mile will start at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (Eastern time), two days before the Boston Marathon. The three loop course ends at the marathon finish line on Boylston Street.
This will be Kampf’s fourth appearance at the B.A.A. (Boston Athletic Association) Mile, having finished second in both 2015 and 2014, and third in 2013. She has a best in the road mile of 4:21 and is a three-time USA 1 Mile Road Champion.
