Kampf’s time at the Liberty Mile was 4:33 and was her second consecutive win and her fourth title at the event. According to Bring Back the Mile, the race was Kampf’s 21st road mile victory since 2011, including as the four-time USATF Road Mile champion.
Also competing at the Liberty Mile was Biya Simbassa, who finished sixth in the men’s race with a time of 4:06.
On the Long Island Sound on Saturday morning, Peterson was fourth in the Cow Harbor 10k with a time of 30:09 and Molke finished in 10th place in 31:26. In the women’s race at Cow Harbor, Peyton was fifth with a time of 34:30.
Rounding out the weekend’s competitions for the Team USA Minnesota athletes was the USATF 5k Championships in Providence on Sunday where Simbassa placed 12th with a time of 14:21.
