Since becoming a professional runner in 2011, Cheever has been a member of three U.S. World teams in cross country, competed in the steeplechase at both the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic Track Trials, was ranked second in the U.S. in the steeplechase in 2013 with a time of 9:29.13, and finished fourth in the steeple at the 2013 USA Outdoor Championships.
During the past year, while living and training in Seattle, Cheever set personal bests of 4:11.32 in the 1500 meters and 9:11.04 in the 3000 meters. She also has bests of 4:35 in the mile and 15:48 in the 5000. So far in September, Cheever won the Victory 10k in Minneapolis on Labor Day, was eighth at the Minnesota Mile in Duluth on Sept. 11, and this past weekend won the Malted Mile in Columbia, Missouri.

Cheever’s accomplishments include two-time member (2012 and 2013) of the U.S. team at the Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country Team Challenge in Scotland, sixth place at the 2012 USA Cross Country Championships, and fourth at the 2012 NACAC Cross Country Championships.
