Heather Kampf Wins Bermuda Mile; Results from Jack Johnson Classic - Jon Peterson, Jamie Cheever Win 3000m

Minneapolis/St. Paul – Jan. 21, 2013 – Team USA Minnesota’s Heather Kampf won the Bermuda Mile on Jan. 18 with a time of 4:49, marking the fifth mile race she has won in less than a year.  Kampf was part of the elite women’s field that competed at the 25th KPMG Bermuda Invitational Mile in Hamilton.

Foster Set For Arizona Rock & Roll Marathon; Elliot To Open Indoor Season With Indiana 3k
 
(Colorado Springs, CO) - Christie Foster (adidas/BRC) will compete in Sunday's Arizona Rock & Roll Marathon in Phoenix, while husband Kenny Foster and Adrian Chouinard, who also compete for adidas/BRC, will compete in the event's half-marathon. Foster is coming off of a win and personal best of 1:14:02 in December's Tucson Half Marathon.

Minneapolis/St. Paul – Jan. 16, 2013 – Five Team USA Minnesota distance runners will compete this weekend, with Heather Kampf traveling to Bermuda to race the mile on Jan. 18 and four others to run the 3000 meters at the Jack Johnson Invitational at the University of Minnesota on Jan. 19.

Andrew Carlson to Run Chevron Houston Marathon on Jan. 13; Results from Edinburgh Cross Country Meet

Minneapolis/St. Paul – Jan. 9, 2013 – Team USA Minnesota’s Andrew Carlson will be among the elite field at the 41st running of the Chevron Houston Marathon on Jan. 13.  The race will be Carlson’s second marathon, having made his debut in the distance with a time of 2:11:24 to finish sixth at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, which were also held in Houston.

Suver Wins Bronze For Team USA In BUPA Great Edinburgh XC

(Edinburgh, Scotland) - Mattie Suver (adidas/BRC) led Team USA with a third place podium finish at the BUPA Great Edinburgh Cross Country meet in Edinburgh, Scotland on Saturday. Suver fell back as far as twelfth-place mid-race as eventual champion Fionnuala Britton of Team Europe stretched out the field. Running a strong final 1,000-meters, Suver launched an impressive kick to nab the bronze on the challenging European-style cross country course finishing with a time of 21:00 for 6k. The finish was the highest for, and the first podium medal for, Team USA's women in the three team match that also featured Team Great Britain.
