SACRAMENTO - Day 2 of the 2010 USA National Junior Olympic Championships was highlighted by several down-to-the-wire multi-event and relay competitions, as well as appearances by gold medalists Maurice Greene and Andre Phillips at the Opening Ceremony. The meet is being held July 27- Aug. 1 at Hughes Stadium on the campus of Sacramento City College in Sacramento, Calif.
Record holders Bryce Love (Carolina Elite) and Armand Shyne (3m TC) will join numerous returning champions and elite youth athletes to lead the male side of competition at the 2010 National Junior Olympic Championships. MONCTON, CANADA -- Making the most of a packed house at the festive Stade Moncton 2010, Jordan Hasay and Emily Sisson ran to lifetime outdoor bests Monday in the opening event of the 13th IAAF World Junior Championships. Hasay, who was third in the NCAA 1500 in June for Oregon, clocked 9:15.78 to take ninth in the first international 3000 of her life, while Missouri high schooler Sisson lowered her PR to 9:16.80 to finish right behind Hasay.
BEAVERTON, Ore. - Nike has announced the 24 clubs to qualify for the first ever Nike Track Nationals. This national championship event, to be held on Friday night July 2nd at famed Hayward Field, will name the best high school track & field program in the United States.
