The highpoint of the 2010 high school cross country season comes to a fitting climax this coming weekend, when the 2010 Foot Locker national championship races take place at Balboa Park in San Diego. It all comes down to this one race when forty of the nation’s finest girls & an equal number of their male counterparts toe the line at Morley Field. The event will bring together the best indoor track and field high school athletes from across the country for a weekend of intense competition.
The 2010 Youth Athlete of the Year Award will be presented during the prestigious Jesse Owens Awards Banquet at the USATF Annual Meeting in Virginia Beach. This honor is awarded to one youth athlete (under the age of 19) in recognition of his or her outstanding performance during the previous twelve months in USA Track & Field competitions.
Monterey, CA - The Big Sur Marathon's JUST RUN(r) program has kicked off a new school year and is busy enrolling groups for the new season. The award winning youth fitness program plans to surpass its 2009-10 totals of 79 schools, 6,000 participants and 200,000 miles logged.
