New Balance 1080v3 $130

Written by Running Product Reviews.

The 1080 is the top Neutral running shoe in the New Balance line. Because of the effectiveness of the changes that resulted in the v2, round 3 has its focus on subtle changes to nudge progress.

RPR: Mizuno Wave Prophecy 2 $200

Written by Running Product Reviews.

The Prophecy is a bit of an anomoly in the Mizuno line with its engineered full suspension system. The midsole of round 2 continues largely unchanged (a Mizuno characteristic - slow change is good), a thin ribbon of foam under the foot with a full-length variation of their Infinity Wave plate providing a shock absorbing suspension system.

Mizuno Wave Creation 14 $150

Written by Running Product Reviews.

The Creation has represented the Mizuno approach to high-end neutral cushioning. The evolution, often cautiously gradual, is true with the sole units, but the upper design and materials is visibly changed.

Brooks Trance 12 $150

Written by Running Product Reviews.

The Trance has represented the epitome of Brooks' technology, performance, and comfort. Round 13 continues the reputation by maintaining the best aspects of the previous rounds, while nudging updates to key features.

RPR: Brooks Pure Cadence 2 $120

The Cadence bridges the gap between Brooks' slightest and most engineered shoes. The upper has undergone a transformation, adopting an asymmetrical lacing setup, and a tongue which opens on the medial side only - wrapping the foot snugly without compromising the fit.
