Palo Alto, California - HP unveiled a collaboration with Superfeet and New Balance to produce individually customized 3D-printed insoles for consumers. The collaboration demonstrates continued momentum in HP’s digital transformation of the footwear industry through the application of personalized biometric data for the customized design and 3D printing of personalized insoles.

HP and Superfeet are working together with New Balance, and others including Steitz Secura, to accelerate the mass-personalization of footwear, using Fitstation by HP and HP Multi Jet Fusion technology. The ability to securely apply personalized biometric data from FitStation and to optimize designs, workflows, and factory production with Multi Jet Fusion is enabling companies to manufacture on demand precise and cost-effective footwear like never before.

Combining the power of 3D scanning and dynamic gait analysis technology, Stride 3D insoles reflect each person’s unique biometrics. The insoles will be printed in the US on HP’s industry-leading Multi Jet Fusion printers and assembled with additional materials.
HP to showcase disruptive footwear solutions at ISPO Munich
Next week (January 26-29, 2020), HP is showcasing a wide range of footwear innovation in Booth 205 Hall A5 at ISPO Munich, one of the largest sports business tradeshows in the world. IPSO attendees will have the opportunity to see a variety of breakthrough production parts manufactured using HP Multi Jet Fusion as well as new footwear applications printed with HP’s new certified thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), ULTRASINT™ developed by BASF. The new TPU is expanding the breadth of final-parts applications for customers on the HP Jet Fusion 5200 Series systems and is ideal for flexible and elastic footwear applications.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to demo Fitstation on the booth, and see multiple custom products including the Superfeet ME3D insole and ME3D Aftersport Custom Recovery Slides.
